Kai'sa's been getting shafted from the beginning tbh. Whereas you have Evelynn, Akali, and Ahri, who all have well crafted refined designs which fit their characters for their own reasons, Kai'sa's feels half-assed and rather uninspired especially context of her lore in which it becomes kind of detrimental to her character especially compared the other girls who's designs all compliment them, this becomes even more frustrating considering the alternatives in the concept art. Her current design has some good parts about it, however all of these things could have been expressed in the other more interesting designs while in my opinion taking the current things expressed in her design above and beyond where she is. As Kai'sa is now, her lore is rather bland not going anywhere as her personality is basically non-existent as of yet, which I also feel is connected to the fact that rather than going for a lore centric design they instead went for the profitable decision of making her a super-model. While I do appreciate beautiful characters, and I understand going for profitable designs, I don't think Kai'sa couldn't have been either of those things with a more inspired design. And now, even though they've doubled down her design with kda (which I very much like) she got the short end of the stick again as the others who were able to take inspiration from the their runeterran designs and lore, kai'sa ends up with none of that. Akali gets her punk rapper thing, Evelynn gets her rich dom thing, and Ahra gets her idol thing, and Kai'sa is kind of just... there. They give her her shoulder cannons but that goes back the original design being lacking, Akali gets her ninja thing along with her dress and part in the mv, Evelynn does too, and Ahri gets her whole kitsune thing along with the leading role. Kai'sa once again was just kind of there, she doesn't even get her own part in the song instead just filling the spots in between. It's really frustrating, I love kai'sa but she deserves so much better.
