If you are looking to have a dry look to the hair, I used Talc/baby powder in my hair.. just put it on a fat brush and went front to back... kinda gave it a very dry "salt and pepper" look.

You could also use powder, it will make the hair look greyish/whiteish.

You could use a bunch of baby powder on your hair. Go outside, (wearing clothes that you aren't wearing that day) shake your hair upside down, and have someone help you work it through.

And in a pinch for the stage, baby powder is awesome (just don't do it after jou put on your make-up and costume)
