Aye, Mike, it leaked out of the freeze plug. (behind pulley) On the metal impeller(valucraft) the freeze plug metal was soup can guage steel, the plastic impeller (duracraft) the freeze plug metal was over 1/16 inch thick. Puddles of anything besides a/c condensation is unacceptable. So, now the plastic prop but not lego snap like stock, solid polypropylene.

cant get the fan off of the pump!!! used torch, an a/c clutch tool, pb blaster, no dice.. jus gonna remove shroud, set in some plywood to protect radiator, and pull out pump with clutch and fan still attached, then its time for cutter wheel/grinder, so i can salvage $60 fan!! any ideas? clutch still good..

what were the symptoms of crappy water pump, or did it go straight to overheating? My Ram gets a drop at the bottom of crankshaft pulley/balancer... probably just classic shaft seal leak.
