I never knew this was a traditional way to bathe a baby in Nigeria. I bathed both my boys like this just because it was easier than putting them in the little bathtubs and letting them slip everywhere. I also would put them on my legs in the tub with me sometimes. They fall right asleep after!!! Cute baby ️

I have 3 children, age 10, 14 and 19. We washed them with warm water & mild cleanser as newborns starting from face down, leaving private area and the buttocks for last. Bathtub after umbilical cord falls off to avoid getting it wet & it heals nicely. Can wipe around it. Hair washed after a week(newborns babies don’t have odor). After face is cleaned Usually not going back from feet back up to the body. It’s alot for them so they usually fall asleep afterward.

What a cute baby ! I love how confident you are when you are bathing your baby . I was always scared of dropping my Daughter as she was so slippery ! Love the massage too Bath and massage is so relaxing and almost guaranteed to get them to sleep !
