Part I: Adoration of the Earth
Kris-kc7wh (10 minutes ago)
Every study session at our school, the teacher allways asks us for calming music to play during the 4 hour session. Let's just say he never asked me again.

Very calming

People are saying this is anxiety-inducing, and sure it is spooky, but something about it calms me down, it's like it expresses anxiety so I don't have to.

This was always one of my favorite segments of Fantasia.

Me listening to Vivaldi's and Mendelssohn's "Spring": Oh it's so cheerful and bright I'm very happy.

Fun fact: Igor Stravinsky was the only living composer to witness the works and premiere of Fantasia 1940
jebrainbowsheep5775 (16 hours ago)
I don't think people understand how good this particular performance is. I can clearly hear every single element that is being played in each bar. I now feel like every other performance just puts emphasis on the obvious, but this I can hear all of the parts and the harmony in every chord, its incredible. Its no wonder that this was Bernstein.

I absolutely love how Stravinsky is able to get your blood pumping and make your hair stand on end without resorting to screamers.
