The outpouring of help from the entire community was incredible and I am still very grateful for everyone who went out of their way to assist others in need.

Meanwhile, many people were complaining about missing "The Bachelorette". This is outrageous how people feel that their stupid reality show is more important than their lives and other people's safety. Jamie Simpson saved hundreds of lives on that night due to his weather advisory broadcasts, yet people were still complaining on missing the show - ungrateful folks - this is sad, very very sad.

Beavercreek here. We got hit, and our toddler slept right through it. Our power was out for a week. We were lucky, only minor damage compared to our neighbors. The Serta mattress sign was in our front yard, it traveled a mile from N Fairfield.

Hey man, sorry to hear this about your hometown and glad that you and your loved ones are all okay. People take things for granted and underestimate the power of mother nature and the devastation it can bring. This really puts things into perspective for me, as here in the UK people think a 25 mile an hour wind is the end of the world. Anyway, again I'm glad to know you're good my dude.

I was very lucky, 1 tornado passed a couple blocks away from my house in Huber heights (just north of Dayton) and another tornado just barely missed my work, the Michaels in Beavercreek, by hundreds of feet. It really puts things in perspective, how everything can change in an instant and makes me feel very grateful for what I have

I live on the other side of the state, and I dread the day something like this happens. Nighttime tornadoes are really bad because you're left unable to easily see them (and that's before any rain wrapping) and thus they can effectively sneak up on you, as Greensburg, Kansas found out the hard way. Stay safe, man.

Moved to Cleveland Ohio to get away from the tornado that happen in Alabama. I lived through an EF5 in North Alabama on 4/27/11 and just a couple weeks ago Mayfield Heights gets hit by a an EF0 . Small or large tornado are no joke!!! But when you see an aftermath of a neighborhood with nothing but slabs of homes and no trees and every landmark gone along with your very home........ it makes you look at life in a whole new perspective!!! A day living telling the story of the traumatic events is a good day!!!

I live in Preble County, Ohio, and i had been up the next morning since 7:30 in the morning watching what happened with the damage, and all the storms. And i hope that everybody is okay, it is incredible to see everybody come together as a community to help fix and rebuild the storm damage together.
