I feel bad about the animators themselves receiving all the backlash. I’m not a fan of the animation but the animators didn’t deserve to get bombarded with dislikes because of it

Imagine getting someone who works at a pizzeria and then asking them to make sushi. That's essentially how Dream went about getting animators.

I'm genuinely just so tired of hearing about Dream. He's constantly trending. I see him all over Instagram and twitter. The stans refuse to take criticism half the time, and Dream acts like he's still a child, despite being a legal adult. He knowingly cheated on his speedruns,

The best way I can explain the character design is “oily greasy cocomelon”

Me looking at the animation and models : "That's kinda yikes for a professional product."

There's a LOT to unpack in this whole thing, but I'd like to focus on the specific comment from Dream regarding his choice in animator, that he wanted to "support groups within the [Minecraft] community." That sounds good on paper, but it makes the fact that he had the animators - who not only were in the community, but also did animations specifically in the game's style and universe - do a style with which they were unfamiliar even more baffling. If he wanted to stay within the community, why did he go out of his way to make sure it didn't look like it was from the community? Wouldn't you want to embrace a style that was at least influenced by Minecraft if your goal was to "bring people up" within the Minecraft community?
