@Mickaw90 It was part of Sidious plan that Dooku was to lose the fight, but it wasn't a part of Dooku's plan he fought as hard as he could and lost.

@asdfkie Yeah, a novel I believe. There were these guys who believed Vader had too much ''Jedi experience'' and good in his past so they rezzed Darth Maul somehow so he could replace Vader. It obviously didn't end well for Maul.

Maul probably has more endurance than Vader. Thus Vader would have to be quick about taking out Maul, although Vader would probably be on the defensive and let Maul tire himself out.

Yeah the force could guide vader to see darth maul's moves before darth maul does them..although vader always had a problem with speed, but it is unknowed since it never really happened.

@Desvantes But Vader lost a lot of his potential when he got beaten by Kenobi. So thats why Vader's brute force can be overwhelmed by the Emperor.
