My gf plays a character made after Brock Sampson. Rogue(theif) with short sword as his "knife". With reckless you just sneak attack i their face. Her typical round starts out rage and 2 wreckless attacks so one can sneak attack. She always has a free hand with the one knife style to grapple or to use an object interact to pull a cig Round2 she uses object interact to light the cig between stabbing. If somene dies while grappled she used tavern brawler to hurl the body as an improvised weapon or swing it as a mele before tossing it at something as an object interact. Being a thief rogue allows object interact as a bonus action allowing 2 interacts per round allowing him to toss or pick up or draw an extra tool/object/bottle of alcohol or even operate the controls of a vehicle. His levels currently are rouge4/Barb5/battlemaster fighter/3 and he plays amazingly well. expertise in athletics for grappling and stealth.

I'm playing a Rogue/Barbarian in an ongoing game. There are many synergistic considerations between the class features of the two classes. Some require you to invest more in Barbarian, some require you to focus on Rogue, but there are a few that get going very early.
