We will never see a player do what Shohei is doing again. We might see a pitcher that can hit pretty good. But Ohtani is an All Star at both which is just incredible.

Ohtani is the REAL AL MVP, no one affects both sides of the playing field like him and the only thing missing from this series is him pitching. Judge gets the Hank Aaron award for best hitter in the game, that's what the Hank Aaron award is for.

@Jon you hit the nail on the head... "Shohei is doing it on an ELITE level". if he does this on this level, I believe he should get the MVP. Last night showed how valuable he is for the team. Even last Monday showed this. he had the winning runs in 1 series and helped the team win against the jays by limiting their chances to score as a pitcher.

Last night when Ohtani hit the home run, Michael Kay on the Yankees broadcast did not say anything. He was awkwardly silent throughout the next at bat, only calling the strikes and balls until the end of the inning. Not a single word about the Ohtani home run from Michael Kay. You could tell he was pissed that Ohtani hit the clutch home run. But if Aaron Judge hits a home run, Michael Kay would just keep talking about it.

The whole idea of giving Judge credit for playing on a playoff team is stupid. Did Judge make a difference in the month of August, when the Yankees lost 19 games? How valuable has Judge been when it mattered?

I have seen many examples of individual Astro player shows of friendship perhaps mostly toward Shohei and nods of respect/admiration on an Ohtani series of unhittable sliders or stolen bases. On another team, the Oakland A’s Chapman in particular they have a hard time hiding their dislike for Shohei and how he does what he does best: play baseball.

Michael Kay has never played sports in his life, the F@&$ does he know about sports.
