I think the V Stroms represent the original intention of adventure motorcycles. Many have gone in the direction of almost dual sport rather than ADV. Congrats on the all 11's.

That little Suzuki 645cc v-twin is one of the motorcycling world's great engines. It has character to burn and takes as much as you can give it whilst coming back for more.

Got into an argument on line today. Someone was trying to make the case that an 800 CF Moto was great value at 500 bucks more than a 650 Strom because it has tyre pressure sensors and heated grips.

Great review of a brilliant bike, they're pretty bombproof. I've got a 2004 v strom 650 and it's still going strong. It puts up with a lot in the Scottish winter weather but has never let me down. I love it and just like you, I can't bring myself to change it. Stay safe and keep on riding

My 05 650 has just done 107000 just got back from Wagga to Crescent head . I'm 105kg carrying 20 kg on the back no problem! Plenty of power for long trips.
