the little bikes are sooo much fun on twisty roads, can really push the bike and have a great time knowing that it is forgiving and it doesn't try to throw you for making a little mistake, plus they are so light you can really throw them around!!

Definitely a very trick looking bike for a beginner motorcycle, the mini monster moniker is very accurate

That's an awesome review and just what I love about my VTR 250, but because they have such a nice low rpm torque range, people forget that the motor is so well balanced and built to really love the higher rpm, and it use to make me uncomfortable but I realize that it's what makes my bike happy that counts just as much I sometimes pretend it's just a 5 speed and just use 6th as overdrive lol, but I have upgeared it as much as I can and still look for another gear at times, but yes even with light throttle higher rpm in lower gears makes it happy and I think gear shifting smoother, thanks for your great and helpful review.

A great review, I've just done my rider safe course and looking for a learner bike. The VTR 250 is definitely on my short list.

I did my L's on a VTR250 (EFI) and a one day riding course about 6 months ago but i cant afford to buy a bike atm. I loved the little honda (I was quiet fond of it by the end on the day) its basically the the only road bike ive ever ridden but it seems to have alot more character than the usual learner 250s. The twin sounds great with an aftermarket exhaust system too, really crisp and raspy. Only problem I found was that being just over 190cm tall my knees and hips felt a bit cramped by the end of the day (5+ hours on the bike over the whole day)

Great overview! Some of those smaller bikes really are the most fun. I am actually seriously considering a smaller bike. I can't see myself getting rid of my Honda Shadow, but I would love to add a second bike for around town cruising. Now I just need to get the wife on board with the idea... Wish me luck!

Good bike for a 250 captain, we sadly don't seem to have a use for 250cc's over here nowadays, myself I think you should be able to ride a 250 on a provisional licence like we used to, great ride review bud, RSM8.

I have been asked many times about my bike Nighthawk (Hyosung GT250) about what's it like, would I recommend it to others..

I have one with electronic injection. Great byke. Never tired of riding it.
