Cima Garahau in the Mayfly of Space sidestory for 0083: the first episode being a short animation that takes place before episode 5 of 0083, and the second episode being a half-anime, half-picture drama that covers more of her story from the OYW and being ostracized from Zeon.

for me; I'd say it was Fumia, she lost the series lead to Sekai, but the series was about their team (Fumia, Sekai, and Yuu). So, some points for narrative potential lost there, but at least she wasn't wasted like the other ladies you mentioned, who never really had or lost series main cast status, along with screentime to the series main gundam pilot(s) or antagonists.

This definitely feels like the first one that I've seen that has a female-centric cast, can't recall another one where there were this many important female characters introduced so quickly. Naturally I don't care so long as the show is good, and it seems promising so far. I just hope they keep it up.

Thinking about it, one that you completely missed is Aina Shalin from 08th MS Team, she's one of the two protagonists there
