It might be time to lawyer up. You already had an officer come into your store and attempt to intimidate you. Being a cop is not a license to harass and intimidate law abiding citizens and this is crossing into territory that requires court intervention.

He just doesn't like it so he wants to mess with you. Proud of you for standing up for yourself. Expect a no parking sign on that telephone pole if it's not been put up already.

As a fellow business owner, I can attest to the fact that parking is a big deal. Where you can park, your customers can park, etc. are big deals. I can sympathize with you wanting to park closer to your store, especially away from busy streets, etc. So getting a ticket for legally parking in and around my business location which would start a “precedent” of repeated tickets for doing so is something I would fight all day.

Exerting your rights does not make you belligerent or uncooperative, it makes you more intelligent than the idiots TRYING TO enforce laws that don't exist.

Finally at the end, we hear what happened with the ticket. But where was the section of the cop being mad? (other than the initial issuing, where he did indeed sound angry that the poster did not seem afraid of telling him the truth).

Good for you, you stood up for yourself. I myself would have just paid the measly $25.00 and moved on, but I guess that's what the cop was expecting you to do. At least now that cop will think twice about writing up bogus tickets. Why would the selection of "other" even by on a ticket? That leaves a lot of things open for interpretation, as in your case.

People shouldn't be expected to correct the city's road design, the city needs to correct it.

I hear that the reason cops give "other" tickets is because they are jealous of people who have nice cars. And then they give some BS reason in the hope that the owner wouldnt call their BS.
