Aye, now to get on the road and do some moto vlogging! Thanks for watching, Jose.
JOSEKLRANGEL (9 minutes ago)
Hey you have a mic. now.. excelente..
LenScapoff (17 minutes ago)
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
LenScapoff (27 minutes ago)
Hah! Sorry about that. One tweak I made since doing the vid, apart from changing the mini mic for a better quality model, was to seal the flexible part of the trailing socket with heat shrink sleeve. This was just to make sure that there was no risk of rain ingress through the 'honeycomb' plastic.
AusieNinjaFreak (31 minutes ago)
Yeah don't plan on rain (hate riding in it so avoid it like the black plague) and am hoping, space permitting, to get the cabling to come out behind the threaded mount socket so with a bit of silicon should be able to get it pretty secure. Planning on making a DIY vid on it for others to follow, after some testing to be sure my design is usable and on disastrous.
AusieNinjaFreak (46 minutes ago)
ahhhhhh makes sense now, yeah those were the ones I was referring to.

Hi, Trev and thanks for the sub. The mini mic I now use (to replace the one shown in this vid) is one I bought on ebay. Can't post a link in a comment, but look up 'microphonics' on ebay - GOLD HQ MD DAT MINIDISC ULTRA MINIATURE MICROPHONE, currently £9.99. For use inside my motorcycle helmet, I replace it with a Sony ECM-C10 'lapel' mic. So far, I have been pleased with both.

Do you mean the two parts of "Suffolk Rideout"? I had the lens wrongly rotated, so that if I had posted the vids as they were shot, the viewer would have had to tilt his/her head 50 degrees or so to the right to see the picture 'upright'. The square framing was the result of rotating the picture left in an editing suite (you can only rotate in increments of 90 degrees during editing without visible detriment to the framing - or, at least, so I found). Thanks for the sub, by the way. Appreciated.

Damnit, I went and bought a bunch of stuff at Jaycar yesterday to do the same sort of thing, Thought I was going to be a pioneer but pop there goes the bubble. What do they say, great minds thing alike :P

What microphone did u use
LenScapoff (14 hours ago)
'Fraid I have no idea whether the switch is repairable or readily replaceable. Your best bet would be to contact someone like actioncameras if you are in the UK, or maybe ragecams if you are in the US, and see if they can advise.

Sorry, should have used the reply option so you would get an alert. See my comment in reply above.
