I don’t think the name similarities is why Pipeline got cut. And it definitely wasn’t cut because of its similar aesthetic to Pipeway, because we have Moonview Highway and Toad’s Turnpike in the same game. Aesthetic overlap definitely isn’t a problem here.

I fully agree with this. Mushroom City just made the most sense. Hopefully it'll be in the next Mario Kart and look stunning. It's one of favorite tracks in the series.

If we did get Mushroom City in Wave 6, and DK Mountain was actually in Wave 5, we would've had Double Dash's entire Star Cup in 8 Deluxe

I personaly think it was supposed to be Bowser Castle and not Mushroom City.

The second course seems to have just been a test in the tour files so it’s most likely that the blank prefix was for just in case another tour track was made or for a new retro like moonview

The last blank I felt like that Tour scrapped a Dessert city location theme track since there was a pyramid in one of the loading screens.

lemme tell ya something about Pipeline, while it may SEEM like a Wave 1 track, its layout is actually really interesting and difficult with many obstacles and a lot going on, and Nintendo planning both Jungle tracks makes sense if they're separate waves, its kind of like having Mario Circuit and Mario Circuit, but they're not in the same wave, but since Waluigi Stadium fucked up the GCN roster DK Mountain was moved to Wave 6 and they then scrapped Dino Dino Jungle since it would be too much thematic overlap for one wave, there's no evidence for Mushroom City nor Bowser's Castle or any other GCN tracks so this makes the most sense

I have a similar idea about what went on in the Booster Course Pass, but with the characters.

I agree with the idea of Piranha Plant Pipeline and Mushroom City being scrapped, but I think Cnsw_63 was simply undecided back in Wave 1’s release. I also think Cnsw_64 was undecided back then as well.

I think the gcn track could be DDJ, considering the changes at the prefix leak were made in between wave 2 and 3, and Waluigi Pinball was highly criticized for sharing the same music as Wario Stadium, they probably saw that it would've been even worse with 2 jungles and scrapped one of them.

4:05 The only case I would believe in "both Jungles" is because they already reused music for Wah Pinball. Even if I feel that was a little cop-out-like.

I have a theory tho, in most of the cups in the dlc there are 2 tour (nitro) tracks and 2 non-tour (retro) tracks. This last track, I don’t think it’s a nitro at all, how would anyone figure out if it is anyway?

I'm fine with Piranha Plant Pipeline being cut because its name and theming is too similar to Piranha Plant Slide. In wave 5, I would've preferred Mushroom Bridge over Moonview Highway, the only Wii remake I'm not too happy with. Delfino Square must be saved for the next Mario Kart, otherwise there'd be no point in leaving this one.
