When I was in Croatia during the war in 1991 one of the effective methods they used for stopping or slowing down tanks was flipping school buses onto their side across the road interlocking them and filling them with concrete. Preventing enemy tanks from utilizing roads was a very effective tool in guerrilla warfare

Good stuff. Also a note, make sure if you have access to excavation equipment such as a backhoe make good use of it. Obstacles, barriers, trenches and such are made easy with these types of machinery. They can also be used to move downed vehicles and cleared trees. These trees and downed vehicles can then be placed wherever on the property for multiple purposes. A backhoe is indispensable. Also, In my opinion the most important and effective tool you can have for defense preparations.

OMG so glad to see someone with some true experience. Do your IPB (intelligence preparation of the battlefield) if you do not think your area can become a battlefield, then why are you prepping? Become your enemy and see how many ways you can get to your location, then start planning for as many defensive ideas as you can. The farther away you start the better (that you can influence).

Look at star forts and their transition into maginot line forts. It’s hidden until you stand over the trench. Starting in the middle you can safely flank each zigzagging wall, ditch or trench. Lots of green space for gardens. Enemy can’t monitor you, your gear or vehicle movement.

This really gave me a lot to think about. There's not enough channels like this, that go into options based on what's actually been proven to work.

#1 rule.... become very dangerous! Make the cost far too high for ANYONE to assault your area. Lots of ways to do that if you're the McGiver type. Form your alliances now, while you have time. Take inventory. Have a plan. Don't become a wounded gazelle at the water hole! Learn about simple chemistry. Think devious thoughts and put them into play if need be.

Green team (defense) and red team (offense) your landscape and home and make sure you know your stengths and weaknesses in how to handle criminal and SHTF events.

Someone has said,You can't fight them, when they are at the Mail Box. Which IS true when dealing with numbers. One or Two,No Problem.Manpower is the Key,If the Enemy has it and You Don't,have a good escape plan.Booby Traps can thin them out.Obstacles can limit access,but unless you are somewhere with open space to 500 yards or more,and numbers for support,things Will "Be Interesting". The Real Plan,is NOT to be an Attractive Target,ie.NOT looking,or having others Know you have things worth the trouble.
