Sex slavery still exists either in east or west. No matter we are living in modern times and have plenty of opportunities to oppose the idea but women are still in trouble

I marvel at the way men set up their religions suit themselves. When I see a religion that says women are irrevocably men's equals. I will gladly join that religion.

The one ‘historian’ getting off to the idea of being an Islamic concubine is ridiculous. Basically downplaying human trafficking. If this documentary was on Christians there would be no room for glamorization.

Mustafa was NOT the favorite son.Mehmet was the favorite son. Suleiman knew deep in his heart that he wanted Mehmet to succeed him and not Mustafa.

I really dislike how some try to glamorize the whole situation.

NEVER underestimate the power of a woman.

Power is always the root of evil. We can still see that nowadays not only in the past

In the 1970s I was in Turkey. We toured Topkapi it was a wonderful experience. We did get to go through the Haram section. It was fascinating. It is an adventure I will never forget .I was in my 20s Thank you for this show I loved it

When a person has the power it is so very common to justify the abuse of others.

I stood outside Topkapi and the vibration coming out of there was one of profound sadness

Although we do have our fair share of challenges/issues but I'm so glad to be living in the modern world.
