Description
Meri invites the viewer to come into her virtual studio at The Meri Atelier YouTube channel as she works on various mixed media art projects. She creates art journal pages, altered books, cards, tags, ATCs, and dabbles in assemblage. Using recycled parts and pieces intrigues her, and she especially enjoys pointing viewers and subscribers to other channels on You Tube with similar mixed media interests. A little Paper, a little Paint, a Canvas, a Scribble, a Stroke and then . . . A MASTERPIECE

Gorgeous results. How wonderfully interesting. Thanks for sharing

Your project came out beautiful! I can see myself making MANY experiments, then stashing them for "other uses".

Bless you and your little pinkie finger. I know this is a very weird comment. But my beloved grandma had a pinkie finger like yours that wouldn't straighten out, and seeing your hands work had tears rolling down my face. In a good way. I miss her dearly. And it was like seeing a tiny bit of her. Thank you for that. And thanks for sharing this tutorial. Hugs from Denmark <3

Wow! I also love to experiment and this was so exciting to watch! They would be amazing in a frame or embroidery hoop to hang or set in a window thank you for sharing this beautiful inspiration.

So cool - I'm thinking of doing this to "recover" my outdoor cafe table as well as the large cans that I keep my knitting needles and crochet hooks in. Thanks!

Thank you Linda Lapotka -- Suzi Dennis inspired me -- I enjoy a good challenge and learning new techniques.

How inspiring. I may just make my Lace Book cover using that technique. I could even embed dried flowers that I have been hoarding for a special project. That technique is very similar to what I used to do to my dried flowers as a teen. Dip the whole dried flower in Elmers glue and let it dry then it looked like a leather flower. TFS I have many yards of mosquito netting that will just be perfect for this.

Amazing textures! Just came from Suzi's channel and wanted to see what you did too! I LOVE THIS! You know I am going to have to try this. Thank you so much! hugz

I had some beautiful skins parts, dts, etc. I glued them on a plain coffee cup and what a difference it made. I probably won't use it because you can't wash it, it would come right off. This is beautiful, what you're doing. Great imagination.

Meri Meri Meri!!! Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!! I just now found this. For some reason I did not get a notification when you commented on my site so I went to it today wondering what happened to you!!! I LOVE what you did!!! You have inspired me to do a bigger piece. I've just been keeping it small while I "Play" but time to go big!! and with sheer fabric too. I have been making "skins" on my blog and using gauze. BTW, if you lay down a thin, diluted layer of mod podge over the sticky side, that will eliminate the sticky. Also, the reason I will sometimes finish up with acrylic varnish or medium is because sometimes several layers of mod podge can make your piece brittle and can actually break! I found that the medium will make it more flexible. This was FUN!! We will do it again sometime! Thanks so much :)

I saw someone using a silicone sheet under their pours which made it super easy to peel up.
