This is definitely a very strange team. They sweep good teams and get swept by bad teams. I agree they are lacking leadership on the field management messed up not signing before free agency. I can't imagine they would pay ohtani and also I've heard he prefers to stay on the west coast. It would be great but sounds extremely unlikely he'll be signed in Boston!

I don't happen to agree that the Red Sox will be sellers at the deadline especially Paxton who is pitching as good as he is. I think this month will determine what Bloom does. I do think Duvall and Hernandez are two that may get moved but time will tell. Ohtani would be nice but unless Bloom changes his approach or there's a new GM that's a nice dream. The Red Sox may make an offer just don't know if it can be competitive enough. I don't think I would label any player the best of all time before his entire career is in the books there's too many things that can happen to do so in advance. He's certainly the best player right now but age, injuries and so many things can change the projections add how long he can be a two tier player? At my age I may not see the end of his career but it's been great to see him so far. I see many future stars and have seen many past ones including Hall of Famers. Baseball to me is the best sport.
